SUMMARY: This is a position for creative, enthusiastic, hardworking individuals with a strong interest in environmental education and working with children. You will inspire wonder, knowledge and action while guiding teachers, assistants, and volunteers as they instruct children ages 4-14. Successful applicants will be dependable, flexible, have a sense of humor, love for nature. Maturity and multi-tasking abilities are required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend, squat, talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, use hands for grasping, fine work and assembly, reaching, kneeling, or twisting. The employee is occasionally required to sit, use hands to push/pull, crawl, taste, or smell. The employee must frequently lift up to 25 pounds.
Note: The Zoo Camp Lead is expected to work all assigned weeks unless specific days off are approved by the Program Manager prior to employment.
Summer Zoo Camp will run Monday through Friday from June 11 through August 17, 2018. Training will take place on a part-time basis in April or May. All camp staff training will take place the week of June 4th. Optional post-camp debrief, evaluation and cleaning on August 20 and 21.
