General Statement:
The Information Technology Support Specialist is responsible for general support in the IT and technical environment for the Arizona Center for Nature Conservation. This position monitors reliability of network infrastructure and operating systems on multiple platforms; supports current documentation and implementation process. In collaboration with IT management, will analyze products and recommend use of new products and services. This position will also support and maintain policies and procedures for LAN/WAN usage through out the organization.
Essential Duties:
- Provide quality guest service to both internal and external guests by maintaining a WILD (friendly, helpful, positive and professional) working attitude and appearance.
- Provide technical help desk support to users of the network; including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Microsoft Server products, Microsoft Exchange and all major applications including Raiser’s Edge, Galaxy POS, network connectivity, file and print sharing etc. in order to produce redundant and reliable support of the ACNC’s technical environment.
- Troubleshoots hardware, software, and network operating systems and infrastructure including switches, routers and managed network devices.
- Provides training and support of existing and new technology.
- Installs and maintains work stations.
- Monitor reliability of network infrastructure, backup and operating systems on multiple platforms.
- Supports current documentation and implementation processes.
- Supports and maintains policies and procedures for LAN/WAN usage through out the organization.
- Provide support and expertise to the Technology plan for the ACNC.

Experience Required
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience preferred.
Minimum 3 years directly related professional experience in an IT support environment.
Broad knowledge of software applications, PC and network hardware.
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Ability to provide quality customer service to both internal and external customers.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and schedules simultaneously.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical customers.
Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.
Ability to lift 50 pounds and able to move computer equipment, printers, etc.
Able to bend, stoop, crawl and walk on uneven surfaces.
Availability for occasional after hours or weekend on-call emergencies.
Possession of a valid driver’s license.
Ability to pass pre-employment background check, drug test and DMV check.
