Salary: $15.00 hourly
Wildlife Show Temporary Staff work May through September 2017. This is a seasonal position that involves variable hours and a flex schedule (30-40 hours/week average). Temporary show staff members are expected to work weekends.
This position is responsible for assisting with the presentation of the Wild Life Live free-flight summer shows. Programs showcase the animals in our collection, important conservation topics and display natural behaviors of animals. Temporary staff duties include participating as a supporting role backstage during shows and associated husbandry for the collection (i.e., cleaning, diet preparation). Staff in this position will assist with training and show behaviors, although direct contact with animals may be minimal. Should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly variable environment. Requires excellent communication and critical thinking skills and a strong team player.

Two years cumulative experience beyond high school in: zoology, biology or related field, two years experience working with exotic animals, including knowledge of animal handling and presentation practices and methods. Proficiency in the use of a personal computer and standard business software including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Any combination of education and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the classification duties and responsibilities.
