The Oklahoma City Zoological Park & Botanical Garden is a fully accredited member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums and the American Association of Museums. The Zoo cares for a diverse collection of plants and animals on a 120 acre campus. We enjoy strong community support and an annual attendance in excess of 1,000,000 guests. The Oklahoma City Zoological Park & Botanical Garden is financially strong, and is actively implementing an exciting master plan.

The Oklahoma City Zoological Park & Botanical Garden is seeking an enthusiastic and progressive leader to join the animal care team to maintain the welfare of the Zoo’s assigned animal collection and its environment through the implementation of departmental activities and staff training. The Director of Animal Collections manages all components of the Zoo’s animal collection to support day-to-day operations, as well as conservation and education. These components include budget preparation and oversight, a progressive program of animal care and welfare, collection planning, staff training, safety, and guest experience.  This position reports to the Deputy Director/COO role and collaborates with other zoo personnel in the presentation and development of guest experiences in order to support and model the Zoo’s mission, vision and values.
