Flagship Clubhouse Intern
Museum of Science, Boston
The Clubhouse is an out-of-school digital design studio where youth, ages 10-18, explore innovative ways to express themselves through technology. With support from volunteer mentors, Clubhouse members work on projects based on their own interests, designing their own animations, interactive stories, music videos, robotic constructions, and other inspiring creations. Through the Clubhouse, youth become more capable, confident, and creative learners.
The Flagship Clubhouse Intern will assist with day to day operations of the Flagship Clubhouse – including leading workshops, creating materials and working with other youth in the space. In addition to working with Clubhouse members, this person will serve as a mentor for four high school interns, providing support, technical assistance and encouragement. Working with the four high school interns, the Flagship Clubhouse Intern will help plan, organize and facilitate workshops and activities at 5-6 local events over the course of the summer. They will also have the opportunity to gain unique multi-media production skills and valuable work experience in youth development.
LENGTH OF INTERNSHIP:
Schedule flexible Tuesday-Saturday. Some Saturdays required (5-6 over course of summer)
$11.00 & $11.25 hourly
Intern benefits include free parking in the Museum garage, close proximity to the Green Line, free admission, discounts in the Museum store and café and much more!
