About the Education Internship
The Greensboro Science Center is looking for up to three qualified interns to assist our Education Staff. Education interns will learn about all aspects of informal education that take place at our facility including school and public programs, Aquarium presentations, and special events. This internship is appropriate for those seeking a profession in formal/traditional or informal/nontraditional education fields.
“I think the most beneficial part of my internship experience at the GSC was just seeing the behind the scenes work of a nonprofit. I really got a good look at how an education department runs and what it would be like to work for a nonprofit. [My internship] confirmed what I did and did not want out of a job after graduating which was invaluable. And even though it sounds silly, it was incredibly beneficial to learn some of the more administrative tasks like how to use office equipment. It really did make me feel more prepared in the 'real world'.”
