Aquarium Internship

Aquarium Internship

About the Aquarium Internship

The Greensboro Science Center is looking for one qualified intern for a summer aquarium internship.  Interns will assist aquarium staff in all aspects of daily animal husbandry and care working with a collection of freshwater and marine fishes including sharks and stingrays.  Interns should expect to learn AZA skills to prepare them for a full time career in this highly competitive field.

Quote

“Before my internship at the GSC, I knew that I wanted to be an animal keeper, but I didn't really understand how to make that a reality or how the field works. The staff at the GSC taught me what to expect in the field and gave me an outline of how I could achieve my goals. It is thanks to that initial internship that I have had success in this field.”
