Job Description: Seasonal Tour Guide

Reports to: Director of Education



Job Summary:

The Seasonal Tour Guide will be responsible for successfully executing tours as scheduled, assisting the Special Programs Coordinator with Private Events and Overnight Campouts, as well as filling in at other programs as assigned.

 

This is a temporary, seasonal, part-time position.  Candidates must be able to work fluctuating hours from June 1, 2017 to November 30, 2017.  Weekday and Weekend shifts are required.  The work schedule will change weekly.  We anticipate this position to average about 24 hours a week, but this could change based off of business needs and will fluctuate greatly throughout the season.

 


Responsibilities:

• Successfully execute all PredaTours, Private Tours, Field Trips, Scout Programs, Overnight Campouts, Outreaches and other programs as assigned.


• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Education.

 


Required Qualifications:

• Professional, can-do attitude.

• Ability to work a fluctuating schedule.

 

• Willingness to be flexible.


• Captivating and dynamic personality.

 

• Experience with educating groups of people, both children and adults.

 

• Willingness to participate in our Docent training course if not already completed.


• Able to establish and maintain good working relationships with other departments.


 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Some College.

• Previous Experience as a tour guide/docent/naturalist
