Lead Visitor Services Representative

The Lead Visitor Services Representative plays a leadership role for the Visitor Services department helping to ensure that guests have the best possible experience at the Museum of Science! Functioning as a member of the Museum's sales and guest service force, the Lead VSR sells tickets and memberships and proactively makes suggestions to guests at point of purchase to match guest interests to Museum offerings and meet sales goals. In addition, the Lead VSR conducts school group check in, operates the Thrill Ride 360 simulators, 4-D Theater, coat room, and Omni Theater front-of-house, and controls access to venues including Exhibit Halls, Discovery Center, Butterfly Garden, 4-D Theater, and Omni Theater. As a leader in the department, the Lead assists the departmental management team with duties such as break schedules, cash outs and other revenue controls, sales coaching and training, troubleshooting, and advanced customer service support, and maintains a high degree of proficiency in systems, equipment, and business practices in order to support the Visitor Services team.
This position is full-time, 37 hours/week, with the following schedule:
Director, Visitor Services
Non-Exempt (Hourly). Commensurate with experience.
