Head of Veterinary Services
The Head of Veterinary Services will manages veterinary operations across the Jersey Zoo collection, our global captive programs and advises on research, strategy and training. This senior role within Durrell will provide strategic direction to ensure a one plan approach to veterinary care across our captive and field programs. Managing a team of experienced vets, nurses, lab techs and external medical partners the Head of Veterinary services ensures the highest standards of animal health and welfare are maintained and ensures compliance with local, national and international regulations pertaining to animal and biological samples and veterinary drugs. This role will work closely with the Director of Zoo Operations to grow the trusts veterinary operations globally, to re-develop and expand the Jersey based facilities and to ensure Durrell maintains a world class veterinary service.
