Senior Aquarist / Life Support Technician

Do you enjoy wearing many hats as the member of a small aquarium team? Are you ready to be a team leader? If so, then you might be a great fit for our aquarium team at the Gladys Porter Zoo’s Russel Aquatic Ecology Center!
This position will report to the Curator of Aquatics and be a mentor to a team of aquarists and interpreters. Excellent Life Support Technician skills are required for this position as a primary responsibility of this position will be to design, re-build, and restore many life support systems. An understanding of how life support effects water quality and animal health is essential. Optimal animal well-being and welfare, in addition to providing a great guest experience, are top priorities.
