Grants and Contracts Administrator
Summary:
Coordinates and monitors the implementation of a variety of grants and contracts to ensure compliance with programmatic and fiscal requirements and federal regulations, if any. This is a grant funded position and is contingent on continued receipt of grant and contract funding. May include research and identification of grant sources and participation in writing and review of grant proposals depending on experience.
Education and Experience:
A bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university preferably with a major in business administration, public administration, economics, finance, or a related field. Three years of full-time, paid, professional-level experience in grant administration or a related area. Experience in non-profit accounting, federal grant, computerized accounting systems, and network computer systems is desirable.
Essential Duties:
- Researches and identifies available federal, state, local, and private grant funding sources and disseminates information to grant seekers within CWORI.
- Confers with grant seekers within CWORI on the development of grant strategies and objectives; provides resource information on requirements for obtaining grants and the process of applying for grants.
- Provides technical assistance to staff in the review of proposals to ensure that grant applications are complete and in compliance with programmatic and financial requirements.
- Provides assistance in the preparation of grant performance reports submitted to grant agencies.
- Monitors compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, relevant contractual obligations, and accounting and reporting standards applicable to grants.
- Utilizes specialized software programs in the production of management information and reports related to grants.
- Provides technical assistance to grant writers to ensure clarity and conformity with program objectives and compliance with policies and outcomes required by the funding agency/organization.
- Develops, monitors, and maintains a grant tracking system to ensure timely preparation of grant applications and implementation of grant requirements.
- Prepares financial, statistical, and operational reports related to grants and participates in grant specific audits
- Organizes and schedules meetings and events.
- Assists all CWORI units with grant budget preparation
- Provides internal control reviews of all proposed grant expenditures to assure compliance with grantor guidelines and internal control policies and procedures.
- Supervises compliance with Asset Management Policies
- Prepares indirect cost rate proposals and supporting documentation needed to establish a Federally approved indirect cost rate.
- Complies with all CWORI policies, procedures, and programs
- Maintains asset registers in accordance with CWORI’s asset management policy.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
