The Live Animal Care Center (LACC) staff is responsible for the care of a diverse collection of animals that are utilized for educational activities such as exhibits, and new virtual experiences including programming for families at home and for school classrooms. Interns will have the opportunity to learn how to properly handle live animals during presentations as well as learning important skills for developing and presenting educational programs. Upon completion of the program interns will have a better understanding of the proper management of live animals in a museum setting.
