This is a journey-level position. Under general supervision, installs, operates, maintains, diagnoses and repairs heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR) systems, and related equipment. This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Requires four years of experience in the operation and maintenance of HVACR systems and two years of technical school HVACR coursework (or a combination of education and/or training and/or experience which provides an equivalent background required to perform the work).
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Basic computer skills required, including use of Microsoft Outlook and Word.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volume, fluid quantities and pressure. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

The position requires an ability to walk or transit across the 92-acre facility in variable weather conditions and enter non-public behind the scenes staff areas. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 35 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; climb or balance and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather); work near moving mechanical parts; outdoor weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to work in high, precarious places while climbing ladders to inspect/access systems; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration while operating power equipment. The noise level in the work environment varies from moderate to loud.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have a valid WA driver's license. A criminal background check, driving record review, pre-employment physical, and pre-employment tuberculosis test will be required of the selected applicant.
