Fort Wayne Children's Zoo
The Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo is northeast Indiana’s largest tourist attraction, hosting more than 600,000 guests annually. The zoo is consistently named one of the nation’s Top Ten Zoos for Kids by national media outlets and is a conservation leader, contributing annually to local, regional, and international efforts to protect wild animals and habitats. The zoo cares for more than 1500 animals and participates in 63 cooperative species survival plans.
Commissary Associate
Applications are being accepted for a full-time Commissary Associate.
The Commissary Associate performs the essential duties of the zoo’s commissary, including food preparation and storage. This position prepares animal diets in accordance with species-specific Diet Worksheets; assists the Commissary Supervisor with ordering and inventory; properly rotates, stores, and inspects animal food stocks; and maintains the kitchen, food storage areas, and equipment as instructed.
High school diploma or GED is preferred. This is a full-time position requiring availability for a 40-hour work week year-round. See www.kidszoo.org for a full job description and application.
