Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies

In order to qualify for this position, you must meet ALL the following KSA's listed below:
Demonstrated experience in facility maintenance.
Demonstrated experience in the use of a wide variety of electrical and hand tools.
Demonstrated experience in at least three of the following categories: Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, HVAC, Engine repair, or Hydraulics (water treatment).
General knowledge of safety standards and facility maintenance.
Must have a valid NC Driver's License or the ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and four (4) years of progressive experience in facility maintenance or construction including experience in at least three (3) building or mechanical trades including one (1) year of supervisory experience in construction, maintenance and/or repair of buildings and facilities; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Necessary Special Qualification:
May require current certification by the EPA as a Type I, II, III or Universal technician as required by 40 CFR part 82, subpart F.
