SUMMARY: The candidate in this position will support the mission of the San Francisco Zoo by inspiring our youngest guests to connect, care and conserve through the popular summer Zoo Camp program. Zoo Camp is a daytime program that reaches approximately 2,000 children ages 4-17. The primary responsibility of the Zoo Camp Lead is to assist with day-to-day camp operations and provide overall support of the program. An ideal candidate is creative, enthusiastic, hardworking and has a strong interest in environmental education and working with children.

Note: The Zoo Camp Lead is expected to work all assigned weeks unless specific days off are approved by the Zoo Camp Program Manager prior to employment.
Summer Zoo Camp will run Monday - Friday from June 10th through August 16th, 2019. Training will take place on a part-time basis in April and/or May. All staff training will take place the week of June 3rd. Optional post-camp debrief on August 20th and 21st.
