John Hargleroad Emerging Professional Scholarship

In acknowledgment of over 30 years of service and dedication to AZA’s Professional Development Program, AZA is proud to offer the John Hargleroad Emerging Professional Scholarship. In 2007, John was recognized as a recipient of the prestigious Tim O’Sullivan Award for Professional Development, an award intended to honor significant long-term individual achievement and service to AZA members through the AZA Professional Development Program, and the AZA Board of Regents. John exemplified these very qualities in serving as a prominent adviser to the Board of Regents and the Professional Development Committee, and in providing unceasing support for AZA’s largest and longest-running course session at Oglebay Resort & Conference Center in Wheeling, WV.

Each year as part of the February session of professional development courses, students and instructors bring items from their home institutions and communities to donate to silent and live auctions conducted at the end of the week of courses. Revenue from the auctions supports the Emerging Professional  Scholarship.
