Dickerson Park Zoo to Present Virtual Eagle Program for the

USS Constitution Museum

Springfield, MO—Dickerson Park Zoo’s ambassador eagle, Phoenix, is going to Boston—virtually.

The Friends of the Zoo Conservation Education program has been invited to participate in Boston’s April School Vacation Week with the USS Constitution Museum.

The USS Constitution Museum is located in the Charleston Navy Yard, and the museum is near the USS Constitution ship or “Old Ironsides.”

The USS Constitution Museum is offering a variety of eagle-themed activities during their Spring Break week and reached out to Dickerson Park Zoo to provide a virtual eagle program.

The program is Monday, April 19, at 2 p.m. CST. It will feature Phoenix in a presentation led by conservation education director Pam Price. The program is free, and anyone may participate. However, advance registration is required in order to receive the program link. Register through the USS Constitution Museum link: https://ussconstitutionmuseum.org/events/soar-into-spring-april-school-vacation/

Please note, when registering the time is listed at 3 p.m. EST.
