AZA's in-person and virtual professional development courses are team-taught by experienced and knowledgeable professionals from the zoo and aquarium industry. Upcoming Virtual Courses

AZA's virtual courses bring the learning experience to you. Students join instructors live each week for virtual course meetings, continuing discussions and coursework between sessions using Google Classroom.

Upcoming In-Person Courses

AZA will be resuming our typical in-person course schedule in 2022. Dates and locations will be updated as they are confirmed. Registration typically opens five to six months in advance of a course offering.

In 2022, all students and instructors will be required to provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination to attend in-person courses.

AZA offers a number of scholarships for in-person Professional Development Courses. Applications are now being accepted for the Disney Diversity Advancement Scholarship to support attendance at an in-person course in February 2022 or the AZA Mid-Year Meeting in April 2022. Click here for full details and to apply. Applications due December 22, 2021. The full suite of AZA scholarship applications will next be opened in summer 2022.
