There are a myriad of issues facing felid reproduction. Depending on the species, some females ovulate spontaneously or only during small windows of time. Sperm count in males is not yet fully understood by researchers—some males don’t have issues in this area while others have counts so low that breeding is nearly impossible. And then there’s the logistics.
