Funding and Award Opportunities

National Geographic Society Grant Programs

Until July 10, 2018, NGS is accepting applications for several grant programs, including: Species Recovery, Big Cats Conservation, Participatory Science, Early Career Grants, and several others!

The Species Recovery program, with its focus on IUCN Action Plan implementation, complements AZA's SAFE program well and will fund projects around $30,000, with potential up to $50,000, while the program on Reducing Marine Plastic Pollution may allow some of the plastic reduction efforts at AZA members to be taken to a larger geographic scale.

If you have questions about the grant program, feel free to contact Kira Mileham. Learn more at: www.nationalgeographic.org/grants/grant-opportunities.

Visit AZA's Other Conservation Funding Sources page for information about grants provided by AZA-accredited institutions as well as external sources. Please email any other funding opportunities to conservation@aza.org for posting on the website.
