The Okapi Conservation Project (OCP) was established in 1987 to work in partnership with the Institute in Congo for the Conservation of Nature (ICCN) to help conserve the endemic okapi.  Operated by the White Oak Conservation Center and based at the Epulu Station, the OCP employs Congolese staff who implements the project's conservation programs.
