The Museum of Science is actively searching for an experienced and enthusiastic, upbeat front-line Lead Visitor Services Representative who thrives in a highly trafficked public environment. Cash handling skills and basic computer skills required. Poise under pressure, solid judgment, exemplary customer service and communication skills a must! Ability to work independently and efficiently as needed. Flexibility and multitasking skills are highly desirable. This is a uniformed position that requires working during scheduled holiday periods and school vacation weeks due to increased attendance.
Courteously and efficiently sell tickets and memberships to Museum visitors, giving accurate and helpful information to help them make their choices.
Assist with training of new staff
Handle customer relations as needed with assistance from Shift Leaders and Managers
Assist with school group processing to ensure a smooth and welcoming school group visit.
Assist in evacuating visitors from the building during emergency situations in a calm and helpful manner.
Assist Shift Leaders by handling rain checks, refunds, shift rotations, currency requests, minor problems, and perform daily cash outs.
Regular Full-Time (37 hours/week):
Manager, Visitor Services
Post high school course work, technical degree, associates degree or business certificate preferred.
More than 1 year of customer service experience.
Non-Exempt (Hourly). Commensurate with experience.
