Essential Job Functions
Supervises and directs the annual membership program, adopt-an-animal program, and Franklin Park Zoo admissions operations and Money Room. Also responsible for weekly check deposits for Membership and other departments.
Duties & Responsibilities
•Development and implementation of the corporation’s Membership programs and member services
•Development and implementation of Member acquisition campaigns and programs
•In consultation with Executive VP, the Director of Marketing and the Director of Stone Zoo Guest Services, development and implementation of programs to enhance customer service and the guest experience at the zoos
•Supervision and evaluation of Admissions Supervisors, Membership Coordinator, Membership Manager and Part-time Customer Service Coordinator.
•Provide content and editing for e-newsletter, website and monthly renewal notices
•Maintain Zoo’s relationship with USPS including managing mailing accounts and permits
•Maintain relationship with money transportation company /armored security
•Maintain relationship with other vendors, including ordering signage, stationary and other printing projects
•Report monthly Membership, Zoodoption and other department revenues to the Finance Department
•Lead the development and administration of corporate wide admissions policies /cash-handling procedures.
•Keeps the Executive Vice President /Chief Administrative Office informed about sensitive matters under his/her areas of responsibility as the relates to membership, admissions or adopt-an-animal.
•Manage and supervise of the Money Room and Admissions areas at FPZ
•Perform such other task as may be assigned by the Executive Vice President /Chief Administrative Officer.
•Administer weekly check deposits into cash safe including the revenue collected through other departments
Minimum Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required. 3-6 years in related field, with 2 years in a management capacity. Strong working knowledge of “Raiser’s Edge” fundraising software is required. Ability to lead and relate effectively to wide variety of people in a busy office environment. Demonstrated ability to be organized, to engage in short term and long range planning. Available to assist with Membership promotion during special events and some weekend days.
Preferred Job Requirements
Prior Database Administrator experience. Familiarity with point-of-sales systems and software integration a plus.
