The Fort Worth Zoo is seeking an enthusiastic veterinary technician to help the Zoo’s animal health team meet the medical challenges of its diverse animal collection. Responsibilities include surgical and anesthetic preparation and monitoring, laboratory procedures including parasitology, working with zookeepers on administration of medical treatments, radiology, and medical record keeping. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with a wide range of exotic species in a state-of-the-art medical setting. The position requires graduation from an accredited veterinary technology program and the ability to become registered in the State of Texas within the first year. One year of clinical experience is required and one year of experience in a zoo is preferred. This is a full-time, benefitted position.
