Basic Job Functions

•Oversees the general maintenance of the park.

•Prioritizing and coordinating all work activities necessary to properly maintain the parks buildings, systems, equipment and site utilities.

•Enthusiastically represents SeaWorld by displaying a positive attitude, maintaining a high level of energy and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job.

Principle Duties

•Supervises and coordinates projects to include planning, scheduling and inspections.

•Schedules and directs the daily activities and work assignments to include regular and preventative maintenance.

•Ensures inspections and documentations are organized and properly completed.

•Generates and closes work orders. Enters purchase requisitions for contract services, materials and supplies when needed.

•Prioritizes, monitors and coordinates work flow and quality of work.

•Maintains all records and documentation required by governing agencies and SeaWorld Policy.

•Confers with other department’s leadership to coordinate activities of individual departments.

•Ensures appropriate responses and documentations of all service calls and repairs to ensure assignments are complete.

•Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency and safety of the shop, department or work crew.

•Understands and can reinforce building codes and OSHA regulations related to systems and maintaining systems that department is responsible for; i.e. plumbing, fire systems.

Required Skills/Knowledge/Education/Training

•Must have a high school diploma.

•Must have at least 10 years experience in the facilities maintenance industry with a focus on plumbing, fire systems, pneumatics and commercial kitchen equipment upkeep.

•Must have at least 5 years in a leadership role.

•Must have and be able to maintain a California driver’s license.

•Must have strong leadership skills and be able to resolve issues as they arise.

•Must be able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast paced constantly changing work environment.

•Must be able to perform all of the principle duties and possesses the skills and abilities of the lead and technicians, which include the ability to troubleshoot and perform general maintenance when required.

•Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.

•Must have mathematical skills.

•Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.


•Must have 5 days of unrestricted availability to include weekends, holidays, early mornings and late evenings.


•Up to 40 hours per week.
