The proper and sustainable application of this culture to both the managed service and retail divisions of Something Fishy, Inc. requires the passion, experience, and collaboration of a dynamic and educated team. Currently, Something Fishy, Inc. is looking to hire a highly organized and task-oriented individual to aid the technical support and customer relations aspect of the aquarium service division. This is a full time (40-50 hrs/wk) salaried position with a typical work week of Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.


The Aquarium Service Coordinator serves as the pivot point in our aquarium service operation. He or she receives all incoming information about the service accounts and coordinates the required actions for that information. As such, excellent time management and organization is a must. Furthermore, assertive problem-solving and advanced communication skills are essential. Core responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining customer relationships
    • Addressing customer inquiries and problems
    • Reaching out to new and existing customers
  • Coordinating appointments and projects
    • Scheduling
    • Preparing work orders
    • Invoicing
  • Performing technical support and research
    • Troubleshooting technical issues for service technicians and customers
    • Assisting in the research, development, and implementation of new product and process within the service division  


  • Two years of experience in reception/customer service
  • Personal and/or professional experience with aquarium maintenance, husbandry, and life support systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excess, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • B.S. degree in the marine sciences is preferred but not required
  • Strong working knowledge of aquariums and life support systems
  • Appointment scheduling experience is preferred but not required
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs  


  • $28K-$34K based on experience
