The Birch Aquarium at Scripps Institution of Oceanography, UC San Diego, is currently seeking candidates for review and consideration for the position of Director of Animal Husbandry. The position will report directly to the Executive Director of the Birch Aquarium; the public-access aquarium that showcases Scripps research.
In close collaboration with Scripps researchers and scientists, this position will continue the long history of developing interpretative exhibits and displays that have served to connect the general public to over 100 years of Scripps science; continuing the institution’s commitment to the understanding of our oceans, land and atmosphere. The Aquarium has an award-winning seahorse program, as well as excellent, live coral and jelly exhibits that can complement the Pacific exhibits.
