Life Support Specialist
Reporting Relationship: Tenji principals

Position Summary:
The Life Support Specialist will assist Tenji Principals in life support design, creating accurate bid documents, ordering equipment, field installation, start-up and commissioning of life support systems, offsite and on-site fabrication of LSS and service area elements. Daily duties will vary depending on current work-load.

Essential Functions:
 Aid in Life Support System (LSS) design and engineering for aquatic exhibits ranging from
500 to 100,000 gallons.
 Assist Principals in pricing and bidding on projects
 Provide on-site project management during fabrication and construction phases.
 Assist in ordering and tracking equipment orders for timely delivery
 Ability to work in a team
 Ability to be self directed with minimal supervision.
 Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 40kg (88 lbs.).
 Ability to stand for extended periods.
 Must possess a valid drives license and be able to operate vehicles (including but not limited to forklifts, cars, trucks)
 Flexibility with on-call, night, weekend and holiday shifts. Travel outside of home state required.

Required Knowledge/Experience:
 Bachelors degree in engineering or related field
 3 years experience in the public aquarium industry
 Proficient in reviewing and understanding construction drawings in plan, elevation, isometric and schematic formats.
 Demonstrated experience in installing and maintaining large scale pumps, sand filters, heat exchangers and other aquarium specific life support components
 Proficient in communicating through email.
 Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
