The Oklahoma City Zoological Park is looking for a knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and motivated individual who will manage the total operation of the Food & Beverage Department including hiring part time staff, training full time and part time staff, developing training manuals, and developing relationships with vendors, brokers, and clients for caterings. This position trains a staff that promotes the Zoo in a positive light, while managing a budget, making production and increasing revenue, to help the Zoo reach financial independence. The ideal candidate must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Zoo employees at all levels, vendors, and the general public. This individual must also possess excellent communication and organizational skills and the ability to use a combination of experience and interpersonal skills to function effectively as a leader in a team environment. Requirements: Experience equivalent to five years full time work in the food service industry, at least two years of which were at a supervisory/managerial level; experience equivalent to three years full time work in marketing and catering (groups up to 3,000) and to two years in sales; OR Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management; Food Safety Operator License and Fork Lift License; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
The minimum salary for this position is $47,153.60 (annualized) plus excellent benefits.
