Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® is pleased to announce a unique vocational opportunity in elephant husbandry. The next training session is scheduled to begin on February 24, 2013 will conclude on May 2, 2013.
Beginning at the Ringling Bros. Center for Elephant Conservation in central Florida, this program will expose trainees to experienced elephant care professionals and veterinarians in both free and protected contact environments. The 10-week course includes classroom and hands-on instruction with some of the Asian elephants that reside at the Ringling Bros. CEC along with other large animals. This is a paid training program. Housing and transportation to and from the Ringling Bros. CEC will be provided.
The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and a desire to work with large exotic animals plus a spirit of adventure and a passion for travel.
Successful graduates of the program may be eligible for employment opportunities in the animal departments of one of the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® traveling units.
