Volunteer Research Assistants San Diego Zoo Institute for Conservation Research
Volunteer research assistants are needed from Feb 15, 2013 through May 31 2013. Volunteers will be collecting behavioral data on cheetahs and okapi and assisting with hormone assays as part of a project to develop an online behavioral monitoring application for zoological institutions.
All volunteers are responsible for their own food, lodging, and transportation throughout their time in the area which will include collecting data at the San Diego Zoo and San Diego Zoo Safari Park (Escondido, CA). Volunteers will also be required to go through training with volunteer services and for the research project.
Priority will be given to students/graduates interested in animal behavior/welfare and available for the duration of the project.
