Online Training Modules for AZA's Animal Program Participants
The AZA's Conservation & Science Department has put together five online training modules for Animal Program Leaders, Institutional Representatives (IRs), Institutional Liaisons (ILs), and individuals interested in becoming involved in AZA's Animal Programs. These modules provide helpful hints on navigating the AZA website and the Animal Programs Database, and downloading certain documents and contact information. The AZA's Population Management Center has put together online training modules to help Program Leaders manage their populations. These modules provide instructions on utilizing MateRx as a planning tool and sending and receiving studbook data from PopLink. Click on the header for the module that you want to review, which takes you directly to the video. PMCTrack, a web-based database and monitoring system designed to evaluate the outcomes of breeding and transfer recommendations made through SSPs, has also developed online training modules to help IRs navigate PMCTrack to keep track of Wants/Needs and Outcomes Surveys and SSP planning dates. PMCTrack has also developed a module to help Animal Program participants to sort, filter, and download PMCTrack reports. Please check back in the coming months for new modules!
