Free or Discounted Admissions

Members of AZA may use their AZA membership for free or discounted admissions to AZA-accredited zoos and aquariums . Not all institutions participate in this program, so be sure to check the list before you visit. It's always a good idea to call BEFORE you visit.

Affinity Program Savings

Exclusive to AZA member institutions: benefit from discounts on products and services through AZA’s affinity and cooperative purchasing agreements approved by your AZA Enterprise Committee. Have your member number ready and experience the savings of the AZA network. Learn more about the Affinity Programs that may help lower operating costs and generate additional revenue.

AZA Listserv Groups

AZA hosts hundreds of discussion boards, also known as listservs, to encourage networking and conversation of individuals with like interests. Members are encouraged to become involved in these groups to share interests and learn from your peers. AZA listservs are reserved for members only and require an AZA Member Number to join.

Find Products and Services

From nutritious animal diets to sophisticated admissions software – and everything in between – AZA provides resources for finding the products and services that your zoo or aquarium needs.

Mailing List Rentals

Keep the zoo and aquarium community in touch with your organization’s events, actions and efforts in science, education and conservation news. Mailing labels may be purchased for one-time use only. Learn more about the Mailing List Rentals.

Member Directory

Published annually, the AZA Member Directory includes vital information about organization and individual members, including species statistics. One complimentary copy of the Member Directory is sent to all accredited zoos and aquariums, Professional Affiliates, Professional Fellows, Commercial Members, Certified Related Facilities and Conservation Partners as a membership benefit. The Member Directory, in CD-Rom format, is mailed in September.  Features include more environmentally friendly packaging, a variety of searches, the ease of launching web site URLs and e-mail addresses from live links, and the ability to print as little, or as much as desired.

The Directory includes:

  • Statistical data from AZA-accredited zoos and aquariums.
  • Facts on attendance, budget and operations, admission, membership figures - and listings of key staff contacts!
  • 2,500 individual member colleagues (Professional Fellow, Professional Affiliate, Retired, Honorary members).
  • More than 225 Commercial Member listings, representing a broad range of product and service providers to zoos and aquariums.
  • Conservation Partners and Certified-Related Facilities.
  • Species and specimen collection statistics.

Want additional copies? Want to order a copy for yourself?  Here's how.

Do you have your Member Directory CD-Rom and have a few questions - check out the Frequently Asked Questions document.

Order A New Flag

AZA-accredited Institutions receive a flag with the AZA logo to fly at the entrance.  If your Institution's flag has seen better days, order a new one.
