Trek along the rocky shores of the Oregon Coast Aquarium as sea otters, harbor seals, and sea lions romp among the rocks and in the water below. Enjoy the sights and sounds of tufted puffins, rhinoceros auklets, pigeon guillemots, and common murres as they frolic in the rocky pools and cliffs of the Aquarium's outdoor seabird aviary. Encounter sharks, rays, and other denizens of the deep as you immerse yourself in Passages of the Deep, the Aquarium's 200-foot clear underwater tunnel that snakes through three ocean habitats. With large viewing windows built into the floor, you'll enjoy nearly 360-degree views of wolf eels, rockfishes, giant octopuses, bat rays and a variety of sharks.
Be spellbound by the magic of Enchanted Seas while journeying through the mystical world of sea dragons, seahorses, and other mysterious sea creatures. Enjoy a rainbow of tropical fish, coral reefs, sea nettles, moon jellies, and other jewels of the sea. A crawl-through gator tank delights the daring while learning how to protect these treasures of the sea.
Take an action-packed virtual reality submarine ride in UnderSea Explorer: Mysteries of the Deep opening Memorial Day weekend 2003. You'll experience the deep sea in a simulated submersible equipped with 3-D visuals, surround sound, and motion control. Presented by Charter Communications, the new interactive exhibit educates and entertains as you experience first-hand the history of ocean exploration. Special videos and displays provided by National Geographic Channel help to uncover the mysteries-of-the-deep.

Animals from around the world are at home in this award-winning zoo, from the black rhinos of the Africa Savanna to the toucans of Amazon Flooded Forest. The zoo's most famous resident is Packy, the largest Asian elephant in the U.S.
But the zoo also highlights the wonders of species found closer to home. The Great Northwest, the zoo's most ambitious exhibit, takes visitors from the heights of Cascade Crest, where mountain goats amble over rocks, through Eagle Canyon, where bald eagles and salmon co-exist, and on to Trillium Creek Family Farm, where visitors can pet heritage goats and sheep. The northwest journey ends at the Pacific shores of Steller Cove, home to sea lions, elephant seals, and sea otters.
No visit would be complete without a four-mile round-trip train excursion to Washington Park, where passengers can enjoy the International Rose Test Garden before returning to the zoo.
Known for its education programs, animal enrichment activities, and conservation efforts, the Oregon Zoo is working to save native species like endangered California condors, Oregon silverspot butterflies, and western pond turtles.
