What is Distance Learning?According to the U.S. Distance Learning Association, it is "the acquisition of knowledge and skills through mediated information and instruction". In simple terms, it is a form of learning that takes place when the "instructor” and "student” are in different locations. This is not a new concept; we have been using distance learning as a way of exchanging ideas since the postal service was established. All that has changed are the modalities we use.
