Animals Inc. Welcomes New Chief Revenue OfficerDec 13, 2013
Washington, DC (December 13, 2013) – Animals Inc., presented by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA), announced today that former New York Times executive Marion O’Grady has joined its team as Chief Revenue Officer.
“Marion O’Grady is an accomplished, award-winning strategic marketing professional, who brings her cutting-edge expertise to Animals Inc.,”said AZA Chief Operating Officer Jill Nicoll. “Animals Inc. delivers compelling animal content to millions of visitors at AZA-accredited zoos and aquariums and to millions more through online and mobile channels, so Marion’s cross-platform marketing experience is a perfect fit for us.”
O’Grady has held a variety of positions of distinction at The New York Times, including most recently, Advertising Director. During that time, she led five Managing Directors and their teams to successfully integrate multi-platform sales into their portfolio of product offerings. Her client base ranged from national to local businesses, including Target Corp, Kohl’s, Best Buy, Radio Shack, New York City BIDs, Michael’s, Staples, and NY Tri-State retail and restaurants.

O’Grady received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Wheaton College in Norton, MA and studied Executive Leadership at Duke and Tuck Business School. She is the recipient of numerous awards,including Target Corporation’s Annual Marketing Partnership Award, two New York Times’ Publisher Awards, The President’s Circle Award, and The Punch Sulzberger Award for business development of the New York Times’ Arts & Leisure Weekend.
