LINCOLN PARK ZOO ANIMALS PARTY FOR THE PLANET

Apr 20 - Apr 20, 2013Chicago, IL312-742-2322

Talk about party animals! The residents of Lincoln Park Zoo will celebrate Earth Day with green-themed piñatas while zoo members receive special perks.

“It’s easy being green, as our animals are all set to show off,” said Director of Education Allison Price. “Earth Day is the perfect time to reflect on how our actions impact the entire planet and to familiarize ourselves with some easy steps we can take to minimize that impact.”

Lincoln Park Zoo members can get the party started early at Members-Only Morning with exclusive, before-hours access to the zoo from 8-10 a.m. Events like the twice-yearly Members-Only Mornings and annual SuperZooPicnic are only part of the reason to join – members also get discounts on concessions and programs, free or discounted parking, VIP access to Lincoln Park Zoo favorites like Jammin’ at the Zoo, and priority registration for popular summer camp sessions.

Not a member yet? Seize the Earth Day and get 10% off of memberships purchased on zoo grounds from April 17-28.

Members also support the global conservation efforts of Lincoln Park Zoo, from vaccinating domestic dogs in the Serengeti to bringing critically-endangered species like the black-footed ferret back from the brink of extinction in the western United States. Call 312-742-2322 or visit the zoo’s website to learn more.
