NIABI ZOO HONORS HEROES ON 911

Niabi Zoo Honors Heroes on 9/11

Sept 8, 2011

Coal Valley, IL – September 8, 2011 – Niabi Zoo will be saluting heroes on September 11 by providing free admission to all local heroes who serve and protect their fellow citizens every day.

Dubbed “Heroes’ Day at Niabi Zoo,” all police officers, firefighters, paramedics, and military personnel will receive free admission to Niabi Zoo on Sunday, September 11, 2011, with proper ID.

Niabi Zoo Assistant Director Marc Heinzman hopes this promotion will serve as a way to share the gratitude of the community for those who serve. “Niabi Zoo has always been a ‘community zoo,’” said Heinzman, “and we hope that Heroes’ Day at Niabi Zoo can serve as a proper thank you from the Quad City community to all the police officers, firefighters, paramedics, and military personnel who work tirelessly each day to serve all of us.”

Niabi Zoo will be open from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm. Regular admission rates will be in effect, except for all police officers, firefighters, paramedics, and military personnel; who will be admitted for no charge.
