WILDLIFE CONSERVATION AND MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE

Wildlife Conservation and Management Committee

Mission

The Wildlife Conservation and Management Committee (WCMC) supports the development, promotion, evaluation, and management of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums' cooperative Animal Programs, including 46 Taxon Advisory Groups (TAGs) and more than 300 Species Survival Plan® Programs (SSPs). The WCMC ensures superior animal care, management, and sustainability within AZA's Animal Programs, and collaborates with other AZA Committees and global zoological associations to achieve these goals.
