The Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum is a non-profit institution located in Tucson, Arizona. For over a half-century the Museum has exhibited the flora and fauna of the Sonoran Desert in astonishingly natural settings, while intriguing and instructing visitors with fascinating education programs.
The Museum is seeking an accomplished fundraiser with strong institutional leadership and strategic planning experience. Reporting to the Museum’s Executive Director the responsibilities of this position include: Coordination and implementation of all fund raising activities, including the generation of financial support through memberships and contributions for annual support, restricted and capital projects, and for endowment. The development programs include membership, annual giving, major gifts, planned giving and corporate and foundation relations. The position manages volunteers who work in resource development and staff in the Membership department, participates as a member of the Museum’s senior staff and serves as the staff liaison to the Development Council of the Board of Trustees. This is a key leadership position within the organization and has a significant role as an institutional ambassador in local, national and international communities. Qualified candidates will have at least five years progressively responsible experience in fund raising with a record that demonstrates the ability to produce results. A Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.

A little more about ASDM: Located in Tucson Mountain Park, just outside of Saguaro National Park – West, the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum is a world-renowned zoo, natural history museum and botanical garden. Exhibits recreate the natural landscape of the Sonoran Desert region. Within the Museum grounds there are more than 230 animal species and 1,200 kinds of plants. There are almost two miles of paths traversing 21 acres of beautiful desert.
