Job or Internship:
The Seneca Park Zoo Society is a not-for-profit organization which was chartered as an educational institution by New York State in 1957, and has since provided education, fundraising, special events, public relations, marketing and exhibit design support to Monroe County’s Seneca Park Zoo. Through a revenue-sharing agreement, a percentage of those revenues is paid to the Monroe County Parks Department. Additionally, a portion of the net income from the Food Service facilities and the Gift Shop, which are also operated by the Society, supports educational programming and initiatives.
In 2012, the Society completed an $8 million Capital Campaign, which developed new exhibits for olive baboons and African lions with unique educational experiences for visitors.
