High School Diploma or GED required. One year of experience working with exotic animals with a focus on bird husbandry and care preferred. Completion of related course work may substitute for the required experience on a month to month basis. Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid FL driver's license within one year of employment. Must be able to work days, nights, weekends and holidays on a variable work schedule, in all weather conditions. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. This position is responsible for exhibiting and maintaining a variety of South American birds, small reptiles and primates including but not limited to: Tinamou, Waterfowl, Curassows, Toucans, Harpy Eagles, a wide variety of Passerines, Red Footed Tortoise, Green Iguana, White Faced Saki, and Brazilian Agouti. You will be responsible for all aspects of animal care including cleaning, feeding, medicating, observation of behaviors, etc.
