The Phoenix Zoo is seeking a Marketing Communications Specialist is to ensure quality and consistency through the Phoenix Zoo’s marketing and communications initiatives. This person will research, write, proof and edit marketing content for production in a variety of formats including, but not limited to, print and digital signage, print and digital newsletters, print brochures and flyers, Wild Times articles and corporate sponsorship proposals. Another important aspect of this position is working collaboratively with other departments to accomplish the Zoo’s mission of providing experiences that inspire people to care for the natural world. Our Marketing Communications Specialist will also research and write corporate grants, and assist with all corporate sponsorship activation and ensure the highest quality fulfillment of all commitments.
Minimum qualifications for this position include a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, English, Journalism or related field, 5-7 years of experience in marketing communications, proficiency in all MS Office programs, excellent writing and editing skills, demonstrated ability in copywriting, business and grant writing, editing and production of marketing materials, ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and must be a team player. We have a strong preference for an individual who can write, read and speak Spanish. All Phoenix Zoo employees are required to pass pre-employment background checks including a drug test, this position will also require clear annual Tb testing and a valid Driver’s License.
This full time permanent position pays $39,674.66/year to start and comes with the full package of Phoenix Zoo benefits including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, and generous paid time off.
