We value your perspective.SUMMARY STATEMENT:Under the direction of the Executive Director of Development/Campaign Director and the Program Manager, Special Events, Advancement, works closely with the Special Events team in creating, administrating and executing approximately 50 events per year, including a Signature fund raiser and several high profile events for major gift constituents. S/he will be planning, coordinating and managing all aspects of assigned events, including coordination with other Museum departments/vendors (Marketing Communications, Event & Conference Services, Wolfgang Puck Catering, Public Safety) and all external vendors associated with each assigned event. S/he will work regularly with volunteers, as well as members, donors, prospects and Board members. S/he will also be responsible for coordinating the event briefings with the Advancement Division and President and Director when applicable. S/he will assist in coordinating a Master calendar of events for reference by the entire Advancement Division. S/he will take a lead role in the planning and administrative tasks for several high profile Leadership Gifts events for major gift constituents including cultivation receptions, stewardship dinners, and annual institutional award ceremonies (Colby Award and Walker Prize and Washburn Award).RESPONSIBILITIES:• Develops, oversees, and manages, and staffs up to 30 events per year serving up to 500 people per event.• Recruits and maintains relationships with up to 20 individual internal and external vendors per event.• Oversees logistical efforts for major Leadership Gifts events.WORK SCHEDULE:This position is Regular, Full-time. Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week with some night and weekend work requiredREPORTS TO:Executive Director of Development/Campaign DirectorMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:• Bachelors of Science or Arts degree preferred.• More than 3 years of event coordination experience.STARTING SALARY:Non-Exempt (Hourly).
