SUMMARY STATEMENT: The Internship & Youth Volunteer Coordinator will oversee the entire recruiting process for all interns, paid and unpaid, in the Museum of Science. S/he will provide support, training, and enrichment opportunities for both interns and supervisors through various workshops and trainings. This position will also cultivate external relationships to help promote the Internship Program, garner funding for paid positions, and create collaborative partnerships with other Internship programs in the area. In addition, s/he is responsible for the promotion and implementation of the youth volunteer recruitment cycle. RESPONSIBILITIES: On an annual basis, the Internship Program Coordinator & Youth Volunteer Recruiter will be responsible for the following: • Processing ~600-700 internship applications for ~150-200 positions in 35 departments • Placement of ~150 youth volunteers • Leading multiple New Intern & Volunteer Orientations • Organizing and executing 3-4workshops for Intern and Volunteer Supervisors• Design and implement several professional development lunches / opportunities for Interns.• Design and implement one Reward and Recognition Event, in August.• Co-supervising three HR Recruitment Interns WORK SCHEDULE: This position is full-time, 30 hours/week, with a flexible schedule within Monday-Friday. REPORTS TO: Manager, Human Resources MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelors of Science or Arts degree preferred. • More than one year of recruiting or non-profit experience. STARTING SALARY: Exempt (Salaried). Commensurate with experience.
