Moody Gardens is looking for an ambitious team oriented person to join our life science and exhibit operations team as a life support systems operator. The successful candidate will possess a working knowledge of large and small-scale life support systems and demonstrate an interest in collaborative exhibit and collection management.

Life support systems operators are responsible for maintaining a collection of rainforest and aquarium exhibits ranging from 100 gallons to 900,000 gallons showcasing invertebrates through aquatic and marine mammals and penguins. Previous professional experience with public aquarium life support systems is a plus. Work conditions include warm and cold, wet environments both inside and outside and require lifting up to 50 pounds, and occasionally working hours outside the normal scheduled times.

Applicants should have a college level degree in biological sciences, two years paid experience in maintaining public aquarium exhibits, or an equivalent combination. Must demonstrate a working knowledge of general aquarium husbandry and life support systems. Must have the ability to acquire a valid Texas drivers license within 6 months after hire.
