Topeka Zoological Park is currently seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals interested in learning about the Exotice Animal Care field.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to, daily care and feeding of animals in the collection, maintenance of animal exhibits and barns according to USDA and AZA standards, behavioral observations, food preparation, animal enrichment, animal training observations, public interaction and much more.

Qualified applicants must be able to work in a team environment, able to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in the typical Kansas climate.

All positions require a minimum high school diploma with preference given to those who are currently working towards a degree in any of the life sciences or other related fields. Internships last for 3-4 months. This internship is unpaid and requires a 20 hour per week commitment. You will need to provide for your own accommodations and transportation.

Upon acceptance into program the following will be required:

- Copy of negative Tuberculosis test screening
