MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience: A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Architecture, Engineering or related field and five (5) years of managing construction projects including three (3) years of construction contract administration, and two (2) years of zoo construction or directly related field.

GENERAL PURPOSE:

Under direction of Zoo Director, oversee professional project development and administration of Zoo construction services and contracts while acting in the owner’s best interest to ensure that all stakeholders are focused on the project, communicating effectively and working towards a common goal.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

Manage and monitor projects activities to ensure that scope, design, construction and exhibit installation is in accordance with design documents, budget, and schedules. Involves: Serve as the direct liaison between Zoo staff, the Program/Project Management Firm, designers, consultants and contractor, and committees, as assigned.

Review contracts, plans and specification between the selected vendors and El Paso Zoo for services to be performed for suitability.

Manage Zoo occupancy process by assisting the Zoo in developing operation and maintenance plans/schedules and with contracts extending into the warranty period.

Salary: $57,338.10 - $87,727.29 Annually
